My personal favorite. This mosaic from AD 3rd century purports to show Alcibiades, perhaps in the process of hatching one of his ingenious plots and checking to see if anyone is looking. I don’t think it gets us any closer to the real appearance of Alcibiades but at least it helps us visualize him in one of his mischievous moods. Sparta, Archaeological Museum
