This might be a good time to point out that Alcibiades was a trickster not only in the dictionary sense of someone who deceives, but as the prototype Trickster of Folklore and Mythology. It’s remarkable that someone like Alcibiades who so desperately wanted to lead the expedition to Sicily would risk everything by participating in such foolish, animal-house type behavior.
